Indian Standard Time (IST) is the time observed throughout India, with a time offset of UTC+05:30. India does not observe daylight saving time (DST) or other seasonal adjustments. In military and aviation time IST is designated E*(“Echo-Star”)

CLIMATE

Our nation (India) has four seasons:

  • Summer Season(starts in the months of April and ends in June.)
  • Rainy Season(from the month of June or July till the mid of September)
  • Winter Season(the season falls between the months of October to January)
  • Spring Season(occurs between February and March).

CITIES IN INDIA FOR TOURISIM

Delhi

The National Capital Territory of Delhi is the second wealthiest city of India after Mumbai and first in India by foreign visitors in 2015. There are list of tourist attractions in Delhi such as Qutb Complex, Red Fort and Humayun’s Tomb, Akshardham and India Gate.

Mumbai

Mumbai is the most populous city in India and offer a higher standard of living. The dream city attract migrants from all over India and foreign tourist across the world for Heritage structures, Elephanta Caves and Juhu beach.

Chennai

Chennai  city is among the most visited Indian cities by foreign tourists and ranked 43rd most visited city in the world.chennai city is known for its different kinds of people with love and kindness to the visitors.most important thing about visiting Chennai is to know about old madras and its culture.

 

Agra

Agra on the banks of Yamuna river is a major tourist destination and part of Golden Triangle tourist circuit. The city has notably Mughal era buildings and also part of Uttar Pradesh Heritage Arc

Jaipur

 The pink city of Jaipur is the largest city of Rajasthan state and part of the Golden Triangle tourist circuit. Jaipur along with Agra is a popular foreign tourist destination in Rajasthan along with Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur

 Kolkata

Kolkata is known for its cultural dance and for diversity of people. Locally, Kolkata is regarded as India’s intellectual, artistic and cultural capital. Although poverty is certainly apparent, the self-made middle class drives the city’s core machinery, a nascent hipster culture thrives among its millennial residents and its dapper Bengali gentry frequent grand colonial-era clubs.

 Mysore Palace

Mysore Palace in the city of Mysore in Karnataka state is the second most famous tourist attractions in India. The palace complex includes twelve Hindu temples and has courtyards, gardens and buildings.

India is a land of festivals, where people from different religions coexist harmoniously. The wide variety of festivals celebrated in India is a true manifestation of its rich culture and traditions. While the celebrations happen all over the year, October till January is the time when the country can be seen at its vibrant best.
